...Celerbratin the good woman's Birthday.... Chilled Blueberry Soup...



Well Sir....been real busy these last few days gettin ready fer me wife's Birthday party (I don't dare tells ya her age lessen she emasculate this here old salt)....and this be why theres been no recent posts.

Now Sir....I cooked up a storm agin so's I could feed about 30-35 folks or so...give er take....and fer the most part I made things that I recently just posted on...BBQ'd Marinated Chicken, Infantry Camp Pork & Beans (agin...t'weren't nuthin left but bean farts in the air), some good old central New York Salt Potaters, and some pasta/tuna salad...but I did two things the good woman requested special fer her birthday.....one...BBQ up two real nice Filet Mignons fer her on the grill and made her sumthin she really truly enjoys......Chilled Blueberry Soup...and here be the recipe's matey's...

....Now...this here's a real simple recipe...even some a you folks that don't normally be a cookin can be a makin this.....and it looks like ya spent a passel a time a wurkin on it........

1 Qrt of cleaned Blueberries

The Juice frum 1 Orange

3/4 Cup of Maple Syrup

1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon

Lemon Juice

1 Qrt Half & Half

...place the cleaned Blueberries, Maple Syrup, Orange Juice and Cinnamon in a Saucepan and bring to a boil fer about 5 minutes or so(makin sure the blueberries have softened). Remove frum heat and, in a blender, Puree' the mixture. Add a couple a squirts of "Real Lemon" Juice to yur taste. Place the blueberry mixture in the refrigerator and chill well....add the cold Half & Half when you serve the guests...that simple mates. Serves approximately 6-8 folks......
