...Been Cookin up a storm.....


Well Sir...this here Cookster just a been cookin up a storm fer that last few days...had two grandchillin graduated....one frum High School...with Honors...and the other frum Kindergarten...

So's.....we combined and had one big party fer the two of em and I served up enuff Marinaded Chicken, Salt Potaters, Macaroni/Tuna Salad, Hot Dogs and Hambergers fer about 45 folks...man...I'm whipped.....

Now...fer those a you outside a New York State...yur probly not familiar with Salt Potatoes...but what they be are #2 potatoes boiled in 14 oz of Salt (Sea Salt's the best)...fer about 25 minutes..or till fork tender.....then served with melted butter...mmmmboy...cain't beat em ya cain't...

...and the Chicken...hell thats simple also...ya just par-boil up a batch of chicken (NO longer than a 15 minute boil)...put em in big marinadin container and pour in a ton of Kraft Zesty Italian dressin....and lets em soak fer a day or two...then BBQ em up on a low heat.....Mmmmboy again.... now the downside is...figurin 2 pieces a chicken fer 45 folks...that be a whole lot a par-boilin & BBQ'n t'do......

...Then let the celerbratin begin......

I've had several E-mails since posting this askin "what size are #2 taters?"...they are small taters...I think they're called "creamers" in the mid-west and west.......
